Custom Venturi Desuperheating Solutions

Morris Ejector Technologies can design, manufacture and supply spray type desuperheaters which are used to reduce the temperature of superheated steam to near saturation temperatures.

Spray type desuperheaters are ideally designed for operating at fixed loads with minimal pressure drops.

Spray Type Desuperheater

• Are an inline device for reducing the temperature of superheated steam down to within 3 deg C of saturation temperatures.
  

• A higher pressure cooling water is sprayed into the spool piece to generate a curtain of fine droplets. The interaction of the steam with the droplets causes evaporation which generates the cooling.

• Low pressure drops of between 0.1 to 1 bar are possible dependent on the required operating load and turndown ratio
