Custom Steam & Vacuum Ejector Solutions
A Morris Ejector Technologies steam ejector uses steam as a motive medium rather than a liquid to entrain and compress a secondary lower pressure gas or vapour. They can be used in many industries and applications, where a vacuum is required, a vessel needs priming or a waste gas needs exhausting. Example applications would include turbines, desalination plants, refineries as well as urea and ammonia production.
As a rule an ejector operates at sonic conditions with Morris Ejector Technologies Ejectors designed and manufacturered to HEI standards and the two choke principle.
- Mainly used for creating vacuums, evacuating vessels and boosting application.
- Use high pressure steam to create a vacuum and entrain a secondary low pressure gaseous fluid, such as air. By using a series of ejectors suction pressures as low as 0.1mm Hg abs can be achieved.
- Common applications involve the evacuation of air or nitrogen but they can be designed for any ideal gas as long as the molecular weight, pressure and temperature are known.
- For high vacuum applications which generate low temperatures and can cause ice to form on the ejector wall impeding operation heated steam jackets can be incorporated into the design.
- Custom designed from 3/4" nb in size upwards in any commercially available material.
